Pan Seared Salmon

A really simple and easy salmon recipe. When searing meats and fish I like to use a cast iron skillet. Not only does it add a lot of flavor but it’s a clean toxin free way to cook. As always keep your kitchen exhaust going to eliminate fumes and built up condensation.

Pan Seared Salmon

Ingredients

  • 1 salmon filet
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp kerrygold unsalted butter
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  • Season salmon with salt and pepper
  • Heat oil in pan on medium high heat
  • Add butter to pan
  • Cook the salmon without moving skin side up for about 4 minutes or until crisp
  • Flip the filet and reduce heat to medium
  • Continue cooking until your liking about 4 to 5 minutes
  • You can add more butter if it starts drying
