Middle Eastern Style Chicken Kabobs

These are a great summer staple for the grill! Don’t forget to serve with a side of our lemon garlic tahini sauce.

Middle Eastern Style Chicken Kabobs

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup plain whole milk greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1-3 lb chicken thighs
  • 1/2 red onion
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions
 

  • Make the marinade. In a bowl combine yogurt, olive oil, paprika, cumin, red pepper flakes, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and garlic
  • Thread chicken onto skewers alternating chicken and red onion pieces
  • Brush marinade over the meat skewers
  • Cover and refrigerate (overnight is best)
  • Preheat grill to medium high heat
  • Grill kabobs until chicken is golden brown turning skewers occasionally
  • Serve with lemon garlic tahini on side
